Why?

Five years ago I hit a crossroads. I had built a solid career shooting music videos and commercials — but I felt something was missing. A friend asked me a question I wasn’t ready for: Why are you doing this?

Not just on a job-by-job level, but as a cinematographer. As a filmmaker. As an artist.

That conversation changed everything. Since then, I’ve restructured my creative process, from prep to production, and how maintain consistency and stay connected to what matters — story, emotion, and intention.

The Cinematography Accelerator grew out of that shift.

It’s not a class. It’s not a course. It’s a space to work directly together — on your questions, your challenges, your scenes, your goals.

• You’re ready for honest feedback and hands-on support (sometimes the hardest thing to get in Hollywood is an honest opinion)

Accelerator? What is this exactly?

This is a 4-week Virtual based Cinematography-based Intensive designed to enhance your cinematography skills through direct guidance and collaborative sessions.

This is designed as a direct access career accelerator, no fluff, no hype, no pre-recorded presentations, I want to share in a 1:1 type of environment the things I wish I knew five years ago. From getting an agent, finding the right first feature, to attracting the type of work you want to be doing.

Must have a current reel and portfolio to apply, Cost for the May 2025 Accelerator is $3,500

Accelerator Specifics

(6) 60-90min Group Sessions (over the course of 4 weeks)

Each session is built to deepen your understanding, sharpen your intention, and clarify your next step. Topics shift based on the cohort — but here’s a sample framework:

Session 1: Your work, your questions. A baseline — where you're at and where you're trying to go.

Session 2: Visual intention. Breaking down lighting, lensing, and choices from current or past work.

Session 3: Prep and planning. Lookbooks, references and the power of communicating your vision.

Session 4: Craft meets collaboration. Working with directors, producers, crew and navigating set politics.

Session 5: Next-level problem solving. Live scene breakdowns, tools, or test footage discussion.

Session 6: Career clarity. Where you're headed — reels, pitches, positioning, reps, and long-term goals.

Additional topics have included: project selection, lighting and VFX breakdowns, lens and format choices, industry positioning, social media presence, preparing for meetings, preparing for the DI and when (and why) to shoot on film

1:1 Strategy Session (throughout) direct feedback and personalized support + individual meeting

Website/ Portfolio Feedback - tailored for each participant

Designed for an intimate group of six to ensure personalized guidance (6 spaces avail)

Due to the small nature, we will select the specific times and days for the group sessions based on schedules of the individuals within the group. In the past I’ve typically done 9am PST (to work across multiple timelines )
